-
How does my instructor know whether I am taking the class as part of a graduate or undergraduate program, or whether I am enrolled as both a graduate and undergraduate student?
Your program and plan (major), which includes an identifier of graduate or undergraduate, is listed on the class roster. For example, "BA Undergraduate Degree - Mgmt Information Systems-B", is listed in the Program and Plan column. When you enroll, you select the appropriate "Career" of Graduate or Undergraduate for the class in question.
All course and class requirements are enforced. Some prerequisites may automatically block students from enrolling in a class if the prerequisite is not met. Others will be manually monitored. Students and faculty will need to check in both KSIS and the University catalog (ext) to determine course prerequisites.
Current enrollments are considered as having been completed satisfactorily when you enroll for a subsequent term, so yes, you will be able to enroll in the next course. However, if you fail the current term prerequisite course, the course will be dropped from your future schedule.
Contact the instructor for the class. The instructor may then grant permission to override the prerequisites by providing this information to their departmental office. Once the permission has been granted in KSIS, you will be able to add the class to your schedule.

- A course search tool is available in KSIS which is an advanced tool to search for classes in various different ways such as by day of week, range of time of day, location, etc. For details on searching for classes in KSIS, see Search for Classes on the KSIS website.
