K-State is defining its future as a next-generation land-grant institution and establishing itself as a positive force in Kansas and the world. It starts by investing in the dedicated faculty and staff who make our goals possible. K-State champions a culture of satisfaction, engagement, opportunity, improvement and innovation.

Together with our next-gen strategic plan, we have the foundation needed to build a culture of well-being that lasts.

We're on a mission to become an employer of choice in Kansas and higher education. Faculty and Staff Well-being provides initiatives, programs and opportunities for employees to prioritize their physical, emotional, social and financial health.

Well-being is about empowering ourselves and our community to create a K-State that's always people-centered. Whether you're ready to recharge, refocus, reconnect or just hit pause — let's realize our full potential together!

June is Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month

June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about brain health and support those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Protecting our cognitive health is an important part of overall well-being at every stage of life.

Simple, everyday habits like staying physically active, eating a balanced diet, getting quality sleep, managing stress, and staying socially engaged can help support brain health. Equally important is recognizing the impact Alzheimer’s has on individuals, families, and caregivers, and fostering a community of understanding and support.

This month, take a few moments to learn more about brain health and explore available resources. You can also support your well-being while earning HealthQuest wellness incentive points through related activities and educational opportunities.

Visit the HealthQuest portal to get started and see how you can earn points while investing in your brain health.
