Social well-being

Social well-being is an essential part of K-State's people-first culture. We encourage engagement across colleges, departments and communities, strengthening collaboration and shared impact. Social well-being is about cultivating a sense of belonging, purpose and connection.

Strengthen your connections with 'Cats Connect

Strong relationships are one of the most powerful predictors of happiness and well-being. 'Cats Connect is a peer-facilitated program designed to foster meaningful connections across campus. Faculty and staff are invited to join small groups of 4–7 participants from outside their usual circles. Groups meet for five one-hour sessions and engage in meaningful conversations and connection. Contact Jennifer Fabrizius if interested in participating.

Employee resource groups

An Employee Resource Group, or ERG, serves as a resource for members and the university to enhance organizational culture aligned with the institutional mission, vision, goals, business practices, and objectives. ERGs are an opportunity for employees to foster a sense of belonging and build an encouraging, supportive community.

K-State Community Building Circles

The primary mission of the Community Building Circles, or CBC, is to invite the Kansas State University community to engage in dialogue intended to foster a supportive environment for sharing personal narratives. CBC provides a necessary structure for connection among peers and colleagues throughout the university community.
