Take a Pause!
Wildcat Pause Day will now take place on Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, following an administrative decision to better align the day with campus engagement opportunities leading into Homecoming Week. This shift supports the university's ongoing health-promoting efforts while enhancing opportunities for students and employees to participate fully in university Homecoming traditions.
Introduced as a three‑year pilot in fall 2024, Wildcat Pause Day has received positive feedback from students, faculty and staff, including increased awareness of well‑being resources and appreciation for a designated rest day. More than 6,400 participants engaged in 2025 Wildcat Pause Day surveys, reflecting broad campus involvement and continued interest in the initiative.
As a next-generation land-grant university, K-State is committed to supporting student and employee well-being.
