Mobile Food Distributions
Open to all
HandsOn Kansas State, in conjunction with Harvesters Community Food Network of Topeka, hosts regular mobile food distributions throughout the year. Participants receive food at no cost, and volunteers are needed regularly.
- There will be a paper intake form for all households that must be completed one time.
- At future Harvesters events the intake will be digital.
- Required fields on the form are minimal.
- The information will not be shared and will only be used to review community needs.
Beginning Friday, Feb. 13, participants at the Harvesters and HandsOn Kansas State mobile food distributions will be asked to complete an intake form. The form will only need to be completed one time, and then each participant will receive a card or a digital QR code for future Harvesters events.
At the Feb. 13 distribution, the intake form will be completed on paper, with one representative per household filling it out. In the future, a digital form will be available.
The intake form is not meant to be a barrier to accessing food. Participants may take food for friends and neighbors as needed; however, they will need to complete the intake form for those additional households, as well.
The form includes required fields for zip code and number of household members. Additional questions are optional and may be completed at the participant’s discretion.
Once the form is completed, participants will receive a card or QR code for all future Harvesters distributions, including the HandsOn Kansas State distributions.
Completing the intake form will not limit attendance. Participants may continue to attend as many Harvesters food distributions as needed.
The information collected is used solely by Harvesters Pantry Network and Feeding America to better understand community needs, review demographics, and identify gaps or additional opportunities to serve. This information will not be shared with any other organizations or entities.
