American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS)

The American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) is an independent, nonprofit, student-run organization that provides programs, information, and resources on issues important to architecture and architectural education. It promotes excellence in education, training, and practice; fosters appreciation of architecture and related disciplines; supports community collaboration; and unites students to advance the art and science of architecture. To wear the adornment, a member must be an active, dues paying member who has served or is currently serving as an officer on the chapter's board.

Cats' Cupboard: The K-State Food Pantry

The Cats' Cupboard Initiative is a collaborative effort among students, faculty, staff, and community focused on promoting food security at K-State. We provide direct food access through an on-campus food pantry, in addition to education and engagement opportunities. Cats' Cupboard is accessible to all K-State students and employees.

The Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Equestrian Club Team at Kansas State University is a student organization that provides an opportunity for full-time dedicated students to be able to ride and compete in both the hunt seat and western disciplines while attending Kansas State University. Under the training of Ann White and Sarah Mattocks, out of Vermillion Valley Equestrian Center, students of any riding experience will be able to develop their horsemanship skills, including horse management, knowledge, and athleticism. Qualifications to wear cord: 4 students, active member of the club for 2 years (including senior year).

Kansas Water Institute

The Kansas Water Institute is a department of the University. The Kansas Water Institute develops and supports research on high-priority water resource problems and objectives identified through the state water plan. Additionally, the institute facilitates effective communication between water resource professionals and helps disseminate and apply research results. KWI supports undergraduate and graduate student fellows, students engaging in research to address water resource problems. To wear the stole, students must have been selected as a Kansas Water Institute Fellow.

The VBMA is a national student-run organization dedicated to enhancing veterinary students’ knowledge of business, leadership, and professional skills essential for success in veterinary medicine. The Kansas State chapter offers the VBMA Business Certificate and an optional Honors Portfolio, both designed to provide structured, applied learning outside of the core veterinary curriculum.
