International Students - Requirements
If you receieve an admission letter that states you must complete specific requirements, see below for instructions on how to complete the requirements. Note that these requirements may not apply to all applicants. Please see the specific requirements stated in your admission letter.
Required for all new on-campus International students:
> Check in with the Graduate School
Upon arrival to campus, please check in with the Graduate School at Eisenhower Hall. Bring with you a copy of your admission letter, and also bring the documents requested in your admission letter.
> Check in with ISSS
U.S. immigration regulations require that you check in with International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) upon your arrival to campus (if you are not an on campus student this does not pertain to you).
International Student and Scholar Services holds check-in sessions during the arrival period prior to orientation. Please visit the schedule on the International Student and Scholar Services web page at www.k-state.edu/isss/orientation/index.html.
Please bring all your immigration documents with you including your passport, I-94 card and I-20/DS2019. In addition you are required to attend the International Student Orientation, please refer to the webpage for orientation dates http://www.k-state.edu/isss.

Your admission letter may not list all the requirements shown below. You need only complete the requirements listed in your admission letter.
> Financial Affidavit and Supporting Documents
Do not submit the Addidavit if it has not been requested in your admission letter.
If your admission letter requirements requests the Affidavit of Financial Support, follow these steps.
The affidavit of financial support and bank documents are required to show you have proof of funds to pay for school. Follow these steps if your admission letters requests the affidavit. If you previously submitted an affidavit with your application, and your letter requests an affidavit, you must submit an updated/corrected affidavit.

2. Complete and sign the form. You must indicate the source of financial support. Financial support documentation should be accompanied by the Affidavit of Financial Support form verifying that financial support is available for the student while attending Kansas State University. Your financial support should meet or be greater than the amount shown on the form or the amount shown in your admission letter (if stated). Sponsors must sign the financial affidavit; electronic signatures are not accepted. You may sign the form if you are self-funded. This documentation is required in order to issue an I-20 or DS-2019 and has no bearing on the admission decision. You MUST indicate on the form if you are brining dependents.
3. Scan and Upload
Scan the signed document and upload a PDF to your application status at:
(Select your application, scroll down and choose Upload Materials.
Upload your Affidavit and proof of funds document(s) (bank statements, etc.) to the same location.
DO NOT email the form or bank document. It may take up to two weeks after we receive your documents to process and release your I-20. You will receive a notification when the I-20 has been released. Please do not send additional email requesting your I-20.
> Copies of Transcripts
Do NOT send or submit transcripts unless requested to do so in your admission letter. Note that transcripts provided with your application are considered unofficial. Transcripts sent directly from the institution to K-State are considered official. Official original copies provided in-person will be considered official.
If your admission letter requirements ask you to provide transcripts/mark sheets, and/or degree certificates, follow these instructions:

After arriving on campus, please bring the original document(s), as requested in your admission letter, to the Graduate School when you check-in. Document(s) should be in English and original language . Copies in English may be certified translations. We will make copies of your documents and return your originals to you.
Alternative Options:
Electronic Transcripts
If your institution is able to send transcripts electronically directly to K-State Graduate School, documents should be sent to gsdocs@ksu.edu. Do not email copies from yourself to this email address, they will not be considered official.
Mailed Transcripts
If you do request official transcripts to be sent directly from your institution, they should be sent to the address below. We require original language and a copy in English. Copies received by mail will NOT be returned. If you wish to keep your originals, present the orginal when you check-in, as noted above.

> Courses
Your admission letter may state that you are required to enroll in and complete specific courses as part of your graduate study. You should plan to work with your academic advisor after arriving on campus to plan your study and the courses you will take, including any stated in your admission letter.
