Next-Gen Geospatial Cyberinfrastructure for K-State

Geocat is Kansas State University’s enterprise ArcGIS platform designed to advance our land-grant mission in research, teaching, and engagement. Hosted on AWS and managed by ROK Technologies, Geocat combines powerful tools for analyzing and visualizing spatial and aspatial data within a scalable, secure cloud environment. The platform delivers speed, reliability, and accessibility for data-intensive and interdisciplinary research and communication tasks.

Geocat is made possible through funding from the Kansas Water Institute, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and grant activity of K-State faculty and staff. Local administration is provided by the Geographic Information Systems Spatial Analysis Laboratory (GISSAL).

Geocat is currently in Phase 3 (Testing) and not yet available for use. Follow @kstate_gissal on X for updates as we prepare for a full launch by Spring 2026.
