Conversation on Religious, Spiritual, and Meaning-Making Climate on Campus
Union 226, 2:00-2:40pm (Session Period 1)
The intended audience is for all members of the campus community-- students, faculty, and staff. The intention of the session is to share information about the ways religious, spiritual, and other meaning-making groups are represented, recognized, and appreciated on campus, past and present efforts that are being made to improve acceptance and outreach, and dialogue for suggestions for the future.

Rohan Amare
PhD Candidate, Institute for Environmental Engineering, Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering
Rohan Amare is a PhD Candidate in the Institute for Environmental Engineering. He is also a Vedanta Scholar studying the Vedanta Philosophy from Chinmaya Mission. He has been actively involved in the campus through student organization and outside the campus as a guest lecturer in schools. He considers community involvement to be equally important as academics and research for an individual's holistic growth. He also serves on the President's Committee on Religious, Spiritual, and Nonreligious Diversity and as a student mentor for SPICMACAY-KSU Chapter.
Courtney Jane Keith
PhD Student in Counseling and Student Development, College of Education
Courtney Jane Keith is a PhD student in Counseling and Student Development. She teaches for the Honor and Integrity System here at K-State and her interests are in diversity of identity. Courtney is a mother of two and proudly celebrates her interfaith family, combining the practices and traditions of Christianity and Judaism.
Linda Gilmore
Editor, Department of Communications and Agricultural Education
Linda Gilmore edits publications for K-State Research and Extension in the Department of Communications and Agricultural Education. She considers this her dream job because she gets to work with words that provide helpful information for people as they raise their families, grow as citizens, and influence their communities. She serves on the President’s Committee on Religious, Spiritual, and Nonreligious Diversity. She is also a member of the recently formed K-State Research and Extension Committee on Diversity and Inclusion.
Daniel Ireton
Academic Services Librarian, Hale Library
Daniel Ireton works as an Academic Services Librarian, liaising primarily with disciplines connected to the Arts and Humanities. He serves on the President’s Committee on Religious, Spiritual, and Nonreligious Diversity among other committees, and his principle research interest is in the use of games in education.
