Internship Readiness
Internship Readiness is a course offered by the Career Center to help students develop their potential for future internships and to connect with possible employers as well as opportunities. Dr. Kerri Day Keller, executive director of the K-State Career Center, is the instructor.
Here's what students in previous classes have said about this course:
"This class helped me to develop and refine my career-related skills by demonstrating exactly what I had done well and what I could still improve."
"This class opened my eyes to my interests and better prepared me for what I have to look forward too. This also gave me the opportunity to improve my resume and network with people I probably never would have met before."
"I found this class to be very useful and rewarding. The assignments were very practical in helping me learn and actually get something out of the material. I now feel even more prepared for finding an internship!"
Internship Readiness is facilitated as a distance course so students can complete it from any location. To promote active learning, the course includes a job shadow or informational interview assignment. The seven-hour job shadowing component of the class can be completed anywhere.
