Pre-Medical Laboratory Science (medical technology)
Clinical laboratory scientists play a major role in the world of medicine as they are responsible for identifying and treating diseases. The clinical laboratory science program prepares students to receive further training in clinical laboratory science. The program at K-State requires students to complete at least 90 credit hours of preclinical courses and 10 to 18 months at one of the affiliated clinical programs in Kansas City or Wichita. Clinical lab scientists can work in hospitals, health clinics, research centers, or even work for the government.
