Students Invited to Attend Inaugural, Summer Part-Time Opportunities Fair

The K-State Career Center is excited to host a virtual Part-Time Opportunities Fair from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, July 23 via Handshake! This virtual fair will give students an opportunity to find employment before arriving in Manhattan for fall classes. Over twenty-five, on-campus and off-campus employers are currently registered to attend.

To participate in the fair, students need to log into their Handshake account with their K-State eID, find the fair under the “Events” tab using the “Career Fair” filter and click the blue “Register” button. Once students register, they’ll be able to see and sign up for one-on-one sessions with employers or sign up for a 30-minute group information session. Employers will have the option to use video, audio and text-based chat for these sessions.

The Career Center and Powercat Financial will also host live “how to” workshops as part of the sessions offered during the Part-Time Opportunities Fair. Students will see these sessions once they have registered for the fair in Handshake. The workshops include

Students are encouraged to complete their Handshake profile before the fair and upload a resume to their profile.
