Social Services Career Meet-Up

K-State Career Center to Host Social Services Career Meet-Up

March 5, 2020 — Students interested in learning more about careers in family services, social work, corrections and nonprofit organizations are encouraged to attend the Social Services Career Meet-Up from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5, in the Berney Family Welcome Center – South Doors.

The event will bring employers and students together to facilitate connections in the criminology, nonprofit, and social and community services fields. Undergraduate and graduate students of any major are welcome to attend.

Prior to the meet-up, from 4-5 p.m. in the Berney Family Welcome Center's Daivs Theater, the Career Center will also host the Work and Serve Panel. Representatives from Peace Corps, Teach for America, City Year and College Advising Corps will discuss their organizations' application process, training timeline and benefits, as well as their own unique experiences.

Attendees should dress in business casual attire and bring multiple copies of their resume and their student ID. For additional information about both events, please visit the Career Center website.
