Before submitting an application and writing your statement of personal experiences and goals, please take a few minutes to learn about the research programs in the Division of Biology at KSU. Although it is not required for admission, you are welcome and encouraged to contact potential faculty mentors. This interaction between potential faculty mentor and applicant can be useful for determining overlap in research interests, discussing career goals, and learning more about the graduate program in the Division of Biology.
To apply for graduate studies in the Division of Biology, please complete an electronic application via the Graduate School Application website.
Deadlines for receipt of completed applications for the Division of Biology are December 15th for Fall admission and August 1st for Spring admission.
Applications can be considered at other times of the year if funds are available. This depends on acceptance of offers, funding of new grants, and other parameters that cannot be predicted on an annual basis. We do not review incomplete applications, so please make sure your application is complete and that all required materials (e.g., transcripts, tests scores, letters of recommendation) have been submitted. See the "How to Apply" tab for information on what constitutes a complete application.
