Set Up Outcomes
Student learning objectives/outcomes/goals are statements of what a student should know or be able to do at the end of a course or program. Such statements include the knowledge, skills, and dispositions a student is to achieve in order to pass a course or graduate from a program. In Canvas, these statements are all referred to as Outcomes. Setting up Outcomes is the first step towards tracking and improving student learning using the assessment tools in Canvas. To ensure complete data tracking, Outcomes for a Canvas course should be fully set up before students are assessed with any assignments.
