Office of Institutional Research and Assessment

Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA) is comprised of multiple cross-functional teams developing and implementing the institutional data strategy. Partnering with academic and service units, OIRA cultivates the use of data and analytics to enrich institutional knowledge for decision-making and planning by gathering, analyzing, and presenting institutional, external and survey data.

The Reporting & Analytics team leads the university’s development of data reports and business intelligence (BI) tools. They create analytic models and reports (descriptive, predictive, prescriptive), conduct research and analyses, support K-State strategic directions, and serve as the central clearinghouse for university-wide reporting to outside agencies.

Our Enterprise Data Warehouse team partners with IT units serving as a leader in data governance processes and engaging in data warehouse design and implementation. Their focus is to build solutions to increase the value of university data as an asset for analytical and reporting purposes.

OIRA's Assessment of Student Learning team provides leadership, support, and coordination in assessing student learning outcomes in curricular and co-curricular areas. They lead institutional accreditation and coordinate program review activities across the campus for the Kansas Board of Regents.
