Performance Agreements

Senate Bill 647 brings "Performance-based Funding" to Kansas public postsecondary education in the form of Performance Agreements. As conceptualized by the Performance Agreements Task Force, the Performance Agreement Project will move forward on two levels simultaneously.

Program Review

The purpose of periodic program review is to facilitate improvement of academic programs and, thereby, the overall strength and reputation of K-State. Program review serves the purpose of attainment of future goals, fresh curricula, and meeting the needs of students, faculty, and Board of Regents.

Teaching and Learning Center

The K-State Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) promotes initiatives to enhance teaching and learning at K-State, including the Faculty Exchange for Teaching Excellence and the Peer Review of Teaching Program. TLC consults and collaborates with faculty, and administers TEVAL and IDEA student ratings systems. Principles of College Teaching, a 3-credit course, is offered to graduate students and faculty through the College of Education.

Office of the Provost

The provost is Kansas State University's Chief Academic Officer, whose most important duty is to ensure the academic standards of the university. In cooperation with the president and the Deans Council, the provost provides leadership in the development and review of policies and goals regarding instruction, research and extension programs.

Office of Institutional Research

The Office of Planning and Analysis provides a wide variety of supportive services for academic and administrative units and departments. These include: 1) providing staff support for strategic planning efforts initiated by the Provost; 2) conducting administrative evaluation programs; 3) conducting analytical studies of critical university issues; 4) completing internal and external data requests and requirements; and 5) supporting university task force and committee assignments.
