Orientation Components
What to Expect
Eligible students starting in spring 2026 will need to register for New Student Orientation. New Student Orientation includes all of the components outlined below.
Online Orientation Modules
- Students are required to complete their online orientation modules before meeting with their advisor.
- Students will receive the link to access their modules via their personal email after registration is submitted.
- Modules will take no longer than 90 minutes in total to complete.
- Students will login with their eID and password via the 'Student Login'
- Guests are welcome to access the course as well through the 'Guest' Login Under Academic Advising and Enrollment Section.
Academic Advising and Enrollment
- Virtual advising appointments are required in order for students to enroll in course work.
- During the virtual advising appointments students will meet with an academic advisor from their college to learn more about course requirements, get their questions answered and complete upcoming semester class enrollment.

Orientation
- Students are required to attend an orientation program prior to the start of the semester. In-person dates are preferred but virtual programs are offered.
- During orientation students will get an overview of campus, see academic buildings, attend breakout sessions and connect with other future Wildcats.
- Family and guests are encouraged to attend orientation with their student.
K-State Kickoff
- Prior to the start of classes students are invited to join the K-State Kickoff to assist in the transition to K-State. Programming will be offered as part of the 'Week of Welcome'. This features tons of events, from social to educational.
