Is there a cost for New Student Orientation?
There is a one-time $150.00, non-refundable fee per student (no additional guest fees) for New Student Orientation. The fee supports all aspects of NSO, including materials for incoming students, such as t-shirts, K-State First Book, meals, parking, access to the advising platform, operational costs, technology and staffing. This fee covers all three components of New Student Orientation; Advising and Enrollment, Orientation and K-State Kickoff.
We want to make sure that the orientation fees do not pose a barrier for any admitted student who wishes to enroll at K-State, so you can select a fee waiver. Common indicators of economic need include but are not limited to: eligibility for free or reduced lunch program, or the family is a recipient of public assistance.
