Additional transfer scholarships for in-state students

Please review the scholarships below to help determine your eligibility for individual awards. Some scholarships may require additional supplemental information. Additionally, please make sure you're aware of the general transfer scholarship eligibility requirements that apply to all awards. And remember, your first step will always be to apply for admission.

Please note that meeting the eligibility requirements for a scholarship does not guarantee an award, as all award amounts and criteria are pending availability of funds and are subject to change.

Alumni and legacy scholarship

Students who have an eligible family member who is a K-State graduate may be considered for this award.

Award Description
Alumni Association Legacy

For students whose parent, step-parent, grandparent or legal guardian is a K-State graduate, the university scholarship committee awards a limited number of Alumni Association Legacy Scholarships.

Preference is given to students who have an eligible family member who is an Alumni Association member. Legacy Scholarships are funded through the K-State License Plate Program.

This scholarship can be applied for via the K-State Scholarship Network after you are admitted to the university.

Transfer Phi Theta Kappa (PTK)

  • One-time non-renewable award for students transferring directly from community colleges.
  • In addition to one university award, students may be considered for the PTK Award.
  • Membership in PTK must be established and confirmed by the end of last FULL semester at transfer institution.
Award Total Value Eligibility
PTK Award $500 one-time, nonrenewable award.

Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above from transfer institution(s) required. Student must also be a PTK member during the last semester prior to attending K-State (will be verified with state PTK association).
