The K-State Women's Center, along with the K-State student group Wildcats Against Rape, is hosting the second Run Against Rape at  Ahearn Track (Memorial Stadium) on Sunday, November 6, 2011. The U.S. Dept. of Justice estimates that a typical U.S. campus our size has over 400 sexual assaults each year. On the global level, there is an epidemic of (truly) unspeakable crimes against women, men, and children, most particularly in the Congo , and we selected the Panzi Hospital there as our major beneficiary. We are also grateful for the SANE SART program nurses here at Mercy, who are the medical cargivers for crime victims here in the Flint Hills area.
