Submitted by Rosanna Vail

Sue Maes, dean, Jennifer Pfortmiller, affiliate site manager, Melinda Sinn, marketing and communication services director, and Rosanna Vail, communications specialist, in the K-State Division of Continuing Education authored an article, “Kansas State University: 2+2 Partnerships with Community Colleges,” in the Fall 2011 issue of the Continuing Higher Education Review, a professional journal of the University Professional and Continuing Education Association.

The article focuses on workforce development needs in the State of Kansas and how K-State has partnered with all 19 Kansas community colleges to make it possible for adults to earn degrees while staying in their home community. The article defines how K-State has built the 2+2 partnerships that benefit the university, the community college and the adult student.

Complete information about K-State’s milestone partnerships with all Kansas community colleges is located at http://www.k-state.edu/media/newsreleases/sept11/statewidedegree91911.html. Learn more about 2+2s by visiting http://www.k-state.edu/2plus2
