Explore career options in philosophy

Philosophy trains students to think both critically and imaginatively about topics that intersect ethics, law and policy. As a result, the study of philosophy confers a breadth of knowledge and develops reasoning and writing skills.

An undergraduate degree in philosophy is excellent preparation for post-graduate degrees such as law, medicine, business and ministry.

Students outside of student union on campus

Choose from six degree options in philosophy, each of which can be completed as either a B.A. or as a B.S. degree.

Students studying together in library

Undergraduate minors provide students an opportunity to emphasize study in an area outside their major curriculum.
