Nationally Competitive Scholarships

Welcome to the Office of Nationally Competitive Scholarships at Kansas State University. I advise all students interested in nationally and internationally competitive scholarships. Please come see me if you have questions or would like to talk about possible opportunities. You should consult with your department and/or Student Financial Assistance if you seek money awarded by K-State.

K-State has a proud tradition of our students competing for national scholarships; and in fact, these students, supported by the faculty and staff who mentor them, have achieved notable success.  Read the National Scholars page to learn more about that record of success.

1. The Fulbright U.S. Student Program campus application deadline is September 12, 2016

2. Jordan Thomas, K-State senior in Anthropology, has been named a 2016 Marshall Scholar.  Only 40 are recognized nationally each year.  Read the full story

3. Four K-State students received Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarships for study abroad in 2016. Julia G. Chestnut, junior in anthropology, Jason Nowak Jr., junior in engineering technology, Sabrina Gragg, sophomore in fisheries and wildlife conservation biology, and Joshua Edgar, junior in history and political science.
