Nationally Competitive Scholarships
Welcome to the Office of Nationally Competitive Scholarships at Kansas State University. I advise all students interested in nationally and internationally competitive scholarships. Please come see me if you have questions or would like to talk about possible opportunities. You should consult with your department and/or Student Financial Assistance if you seek money awarded by K-State.

1. The campus deadline for the Boren Scholarship will be January 9, 2015. Complete the Boren Scholarship application and submit it to me, so that the campus committee can complete the necessary campus review prior to national submission. The upcoming deadline is intended to fund study abroad in Summer 2015, Fall 2015 and/or Spring 2016.
2. If you are interested in working as a paid research assistant for the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, then please see me about Carnegie Junior Fellows Program. The deadline is January 15, 2015, and each university can only nominate two candidates to the national competition. This is an opportunity for graduating seniors.
3. March 30, 2015 is the campus deadline for students interested in applying for the Marshall, Mitchell or Rhodes scholarships in Fall 2015. Simply e-mail email@example.com to request a copy of the campus application. These three awards fund graduate study in the United Kingdom, Ireland and at Oxford University respectively.
