CHM 250 - Honors Chemistry II

Honors Chemistry II is a continuation of CHM 220 – Honors Chemistry I. Topics covered include chemical equilibrium, acid/base chemistry, titrations, coordination chemistry, electrochemistry, nuclear chemistry, spectroscopy and chemical separations. Special topics such as the chemistry of acid rain, ozone depletion, nuclear waste storage, and fuel cells are also discussed. This course is intended for students with a strong background in chemistry. It includes three hours of lecture, one hour of recitation and three hours of lab per week.

Note: Concurrent enrollment in CHM 250 lab is required. The laboratory emphasizes experiments from Chemical Analysis.
