K-State spring commencement ceremonies to feature student speakers, musicians

Kansas State University students will sing, play the organ and deliver addresses for thousands of K-State degree candidates at spring 2025 commencement ceremonies.

Kansas State University will feature several students as musicians and speakers during the spring 2025 commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 10, in Salina and Friday, May 16, and Saturday, May 17, in Manhattan.

  • Devlyn Jochum, junior in music education, Hays, will sing the National Anthem and Alma Mater at commencement ceremonies for the College of Education and the College of Business Administration.
  • August Siefkes, junior in applied music, Hudson, will be the organist at commencement ceremonies for the College of Agriculture, the College of Health and Human Sciences and the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering.
  • Andrew Bergmeier, bachelor's candidate in elementary education, Hutchinson, will deliver the student commencement address at commencement for the College of Education.
  • Reese Bailey, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine candidate, Lenexa, will sing the National Anthem at commencement for the College of Veterinary Medicine.
  • Megan Hamilton, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine candidate, Manhattan, will deliver the student address at the College of Veterinary Medicine's commencement ceremony.
  • Chris Melton, master's candidate in music, Manhattan, will sing the National Anthem and Alma Mater at commencement for the Graduate School.
  • Theresa Burg, bachelor's candidate in kinesiology and the K-State and Wichita State Pathway to Nursing Program, Olathe, will sing the National Anthem and Alma Mater at commencement for the College of Health and Human Sciences.
  • Brandon Kirmer, Master of Architecture candidate, Overland Park, will deliver student remarks at commencement for the College of Architecture, Planning & Design.
  • Amaya Dungan, senior in music, Salina, will sing the National Anthem and Alma Mater at commencement for the College of Arts and Sciences.
  • Adelaide Easter, bachelor's candidate in agricultural economics, Salina, will be the student commencement speaker for the College of Agriculture.
  • Josephine Benson, junior in English, Wamego, will be the organist at commencement ceremonies for the Graduate School, the College of Veterinary Medicine, the College of Education and the College of Business Administration.
  • Kylie Schakel, bachelor's candidate in agricultural and natural resources communications, Atlanta, Indiana, will deliver reflections at the College of Agriculture's commencement ceremony.
  • Carter Warta, bachelor's candidate in industrial engineering, Victoria, Minnesota, will deliver the student address at commencement for the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering.
  • Avery Pipkin, bachelor's candidate in communication sciences and disorders, Farwell, Texas, will deliver the student address at the commencement ceremony for the College of Health and Human Sciences.
  • Alyssa Ansay, bachelor's candidate in sales, Frisco, Texas, will deliver student remarks at commencement for the College of Business Administration.
  • Stephen Watson, sophomore in aeronautical technology, Magnolia, Texas, will give the student address and serve as a student marshal for K-State Salina's commencement ceremony.

  • College of Architecture, Planning & Design, 10 a.m., Bramlage Coliseum
  • Graduate School,1 p.m., Bramlage Coliseum
  • College of Veterinary Medicine, 3:30 p.m., Bramlage Coliseum

May 17

  • College of Arts and Sciences, 8:30 a.m., Bramlage Coliseum
  • College of Education, 11 a.m., Bramlage Coliseum
  • College of Business Administration, 12:30 p.m., Bramlage Coliseum
  • College of Agriculture, 2:30 p.m., Bramlage Coliseum
