Amanda joined the faculty as an instructor and advisor after graduating with her MA in economics from Kansas State University in May 2006. While completing her graduate studies at KSU she taught several classes for the department, including Principles of Macroeconomics, Money and Banking, and Labor Economics. In 2005, she won the Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award. Her interests include Health Economics and Labor Economics, and she is active in volunteer work, particularly with aging and chronically ill populations. Her other interests include philosophy and Japanese pop culture.
