Giving to the Student Access Center

Student Access Center is honored to receive gifts to support students with disabilities. Your support for students is so much more than just a gift. It is a commitment to help us continue our efforts to improve the climate at K-State for all students. We are privileged to have the opportunity to work and intersect with some of the brightest and most courageous students at K-State. Thank you again for believing in the work we continue to do for our students!

What others are saying

Here is a tribute from one of our special donors who works for the College of Business Administration.

"I was asked to share why I support the Student Access Center in Holton Hall. Few people in our college are probably aware that many of our very own students need special accommodations when taking tests. This could fall upon our faculty as it is a mandated accommodation. However, the Student Access Center staffs the oversight of nearly 400 exams just for College of Business students each semester. This semester there are 108 of our students that the Student Access Center is helping in numerous ways to achieve their desire for a college education. With the available funding for this program, what they accomplish would be impossible. Just a bit of help from each of us to the Center will make all the difference for a student's entire life time.

On a personal level I can tell you about one of my sons. He has a learning disability that made academic work more difficult than for most of us. Many like my son are intellectually college capable, but they cannot succeed without some academic lifeline. There is a barrier to learning that requires the ability to first untangle or decode the material, as they perceive it, before assimilating it to the extent that the material is understood. That's the best way I can explain it. KSU's Student Access Center became part of my son's family when he was here, and I credit their unwavering dedication for his achievement of a college degree. It was life changing for him, and has given him job opportunities and job success he would not have had. These folks know how to give our students skills that are then applicable beyond KSU. When you give to the Student Access Center you are helping not only CBA students, but many, many struggling and well deserving KSU students. You usually won't recognize those being helped by the Center when you pass them in the hallways of Calvin Hall, but you can know that you are a benefactor supporting them through their college experience and improving their lives forever."
