K-State First Lady Sally Linton to speak at international conference on ADHD support

Submitted by Division of Communications and Marketing

Kansas State University First Lady Sally Linton is set to speak at the 2023 Annual International Conference on ADHD organized by Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, or CHADD, this week in Baltimore.

Linton, a certified ADHD and executive function coach, shares her passion for helping others and reducing the stigma around mental health through her unique service to the university community. Linton serves as chair of the K-State Committee for a Health-Promoting University, a direct action of K-State's recent adoption of the Okanagan Charter. Additionally, she has also championed the development of an on-campus ADHD support group at K-State and has served on mental health and well-being resource panels.

"Living on the Manhattan campus and seeing our students, faculty and staff interact every day, I truly believe in the power of building a supportive community where all can thrive," Linton said. "This starts by fostering a safe, judgment-free space and encouraging us all to learn how our brains work to build individualized success strategies."
