Art expression workshop

Submitted by Shawn Funk

Thrive Navigators, a sponsored student organization under the leadership of Lafene Health Center and the Morrison Family Center for Student Well-being, will host an art expression workshop on Thursday, Nov. 9, in the K-State Student Union courtyard. Come and go from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. All supplies are provided free by the Thrive Navigators.

Art therapy uses the creative process to help people develop self-awareness, explore emotions, relieve stress and achieve personal well-being and improved levels of function. Art therapy often shows positive results in people with anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD, ADHD, cognitive impairments, and family and relationship issues.

Come paint with your peers and learn more about how art can be beneficial for mental health.
