Submitted by Haley Ahlers

College of Business Faculty and Students

You are invited to attend this year's International Women's Day Celebration from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, in the Business Building atrium.

In partnership with colleges, units and organizations across the K-State community, the College of Business is hosting this year's come-and-go event with opportunities for education, networking, food and fun! To support women-owned businesses, food will be available from the DoughBro and the Grill to Go food trucks, as well as treats from Nothing Bundt Cakes. All students, staff and faculty members are welcome to participate.

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women's achievements or rally for women's equality.

Marked annually on March 8, International Women's Day is a day to:

  • Celebrate women's achievements.
  • Raise awareness about women's equality.
  • Lobby for accelerated gender parity.
  • Fundraise for female-focused charities.
