Open forum for relaunch of Student Veterans Association at K-State

Submitted by Kevin Nalette

Non-Traditional and Veteran Student Services will host an open forum meeting and discussion about relaunching the Student Veterans Association at K-State, a former student organization. The meeting will take place at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, in the Military Affiliated Resource Center in Room 217, formerly the Student Veterans Center, in the K-State Student Union.

The Student Veterans Association recognizes the service of all veterans and provides a community where all are welcome, regardless of branch, service length, or current military status. The organization is open to all students who are currently enrolled at Kansas State University.

Our mission is to help our fellow brothers and sisters transition from the military into college-educated professionals. Our goal is to make transitioning as easy as possible. Through our organization, we will help our veterans successfully navigate both the classroom and campus, toward earning a degree from K-State.
