The K-State School of Music, Theatre, and Dance is hosting the first-ever IDEall Week in honor of Black History Month. Events continue this week and two events have been rescheduled to Feb. 22 and Feb. 23. The full schedule of guest performers, lecturers and events, as well as streaming information, can be found at k-state.edu/mtd/ideall

In addition to student and faculty performances, special guest artists for the week include jazz artist Charles Williams, dancer Kurt Douglas, actor Michael McElroy and recording artist Warren Wolf.

IDEall stands for Inclusion, Diversity and Equity for All.

A committee was formed in 2020, made up of faculty, staff and students. The goals of the IDEall Committee are to improve the music, theatre and dance climate, advance the recruitment and retention of underrepresented students, advance the recruitment and retention of underrepresented faculty and staff, promote education opportunities centered on social equity, and to communicate information pertinent to diversity opportunities, benefits and needs. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to bring comments, proposals for opportunities and concerns about IDEall issues to committee members.
