Tuition and Fees Strategies Committee seeking applicants

Submitted by Nathan Bothwell

The application for students at-large to serve on the Tuition and Fees Strategies Committee is now open and accepting applicants. This form will be open until 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10

Every year, the student body president and the speaker of the Student Senate co-chair the Tuition and Fees Strategies Committee to provide student input and oversight on the different college and departmental fees. The committee spends the fall semester performing a qualitative audit of previously passed fees to ensure that they are being used for their intended purpose. In the spring semester, students will review and approve any applications for any new fees proposed by college deans. This year, the committee will review the course fees for the College of Agriculture and the College of Architecture, Planning & Design. The committee may also be looking into potential changes to K-State's tuition model this coming spring semester.

The application to apply to this committee and others can be found online. For any questions, comments, or inquiries, please reach out to Student Body President Tel Wittmer at telwittmer@k-state.edu or Speaker of the Student Senate Nathan Bothwell at ndbothwell@k-state.edu.
