Counseling Services offering group for dealing with COVID-19

Submitted by Melissa King

Counseling Services is offering a new group: Coping with COVID.

The aim of the group is to provide students with a safe place to connect with other students to both provide and receive social and emotional support; learn about helpful strategies and resources to deal with the impact of the pandemic; and explore and process the myriad emotions and thoughts associated with its impact. It will be a semi-structured group with both an educational/skills component and a process-oriented/supportive component.

The group will meet from 1-2:30 p.m. Tuesdays virtually, through Zoom.

This group is open to enrolled K-State students living in Kansas and other select states, depending on licensure laws. The group has a maximum capacity of 10 students. If more than 10 students are interested, Counseling Services staff will work with those students to identify an option that best meets their needs.

To join, please call 785-532-6927 to learn more.
