Hale Library to close for spring break; new second floor hours

Submitted by Cailin Riley

With spring break right around the corner, we're looking forward to a few new changes at Hale Library.

First, Hale Library will be closed to the public during spring break due to construction. The library will close at 5 p.m. Friday, March 6, and will reopen at 7 a.m. Monday, March 16. After the break, the first floor of Hale will resume normal 24/5 hours. Also, an exciting development, the new second floor of the library will open immediately following spring break. The floor will open at 7 a.m. Monday, March 16, and will adhere to the following hours:

• Sundays: 1 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Monday morning.
• Mondays: 7 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
• Tuesdays: 7 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
• Wednesdays: 7 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
• Thursdays: 7 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Friday morning.
• Fridays: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Saturdays: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The Library Help Desk currently located in the K-State Student Union will move back to Hale's second floor when it opens.

The Library Help Desk will be staffed whenever the second floor is open. That means that whenever the second floor is open, patrons will be able to borrow textbooks and course reserves, pick up interlibrary loans, pick up holds, return items and receive general directional, equipment, research or informational help.
