You still have time rekindle your love of teaching: Register for K-State's Teaching Retreat today

Submitted by Sara K. Kearns

Need a little injection of energy for planning your next class?

Ever needed to recover from a teaching misstep? Curious about what's going on in students' heads during class? Looking for guidance on integrating multiple cultural perspectives? Heard a colleague talk about open textbooks, teaching with Instagram, or role playing in class? We’re talking about these topics and more at the 2020 K-State Teaching Retreat this Friday afternoon and Saturday morning in the K-State Student Union

We're kicking off the retreat Friday at 1 p.m. in Forum Hall with a keynote from Thomas Lane, K-State's vice president for student life and dean of students. We'll end on Saturday morning with an energizing keynote from a secret speaker who will share how they maintain their love of teaching. In between keynotes, we'll have opportunities to learn from and exchange ideas with fellow K-State educators in a number of breakout sessions. Rumor is, there will even be prizes for some lucky participants.

Register today!
Registration is only $15. Check with your college or department first, as some department heads and deans have offered to cover registration in their units.

You can see our full schedule and session descriptions on our website: https://www.k-state.edu/tlc/programs/fete/2020Rekindling.html
