K-State Hijab Day and 'Islamophobia in America' lecture

The Muslim Students Association and Union Program Council will host K-State Hijab Day from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 18, on the first floor of the K-State Student Union. The event is free and open to the public. Free Hijab scarves will be available. 

At 5:30 p.m. April 18, Isra Chaker, civil rights activist, campaigns and advocacy expert and public speaker, will present "Islamophobia in America" in the Union's Bluemont Room. The lecture is free and open to the public. Free food will be provided. The lecture is sponsored by the Muslim Students Association, Union Program Council, the Dow Center for Multicultural and Community Studies and political science department.
