Joyce Harrison, editor in chief at the University Press of Kansas, will give a presentation on publishing from 10:30-11:30 a.m. April 23 in the Purple Pride Conference Room at the K-State Alumni Center. It will cover topics such as finding publishers that match your project, preparing an effective cover letter, the elements of a strong proposal, author etiquette and working with your publisher. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
Harrison also will be available to meet with faculty from 1:30-5 p.m. April 23 in the Kansas State Bank Conference Room at the K-State Alumni Center. She can discuss your work in progress or your book idea and offer publishing advice, regardless of whether your project is a fit for UPK’s publishing program.
