Submitted by Alex McVey

Interested in debating for K-State? K-State Debate, a registered student organization, will host an informational meeting for all new debaters from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, in 219 Nichols Hall. Snacks will be provided.

Come learn about what it takes to travel and compete for K-State on the Debate Team.

K-State Debate is sponsored by the communication studies department in the College of Arts and Sciences. It has a rich history of success, and there has been a competitive debate team at K-State since 1905. The K-State Debate team has won three national championships and qualified for the National Debate Tournament 16 times. K-State debaters have an opportunity to debate in both the Policy/CX and British Parliamentary Debate styles, and students of any experience level are welcome.
