Mathematics Colloquium Lecture April 17
Eric Bedford, Stony Brook University, will present "The Shape of the Julia Set of the Henon Map" as part of the Mathematics Department Colloquium Lecture series at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, in 122 Cardwell Hall.
Bedford will show that for a complex Henon map the Julia set has a certain amount of complex structure. However, it is never C^1 smooth and is never real analytic — even with singularities.
