K-State Theatre presents Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's classic "Into the Woods," directed by Jerry Jay Cranford in the newly renovated Mark A. Chapman Theatre in Nichols Hall.

This magical musical follows a baker and his wife on their journey to reverse the witch's curse, which has left them childless. Along the way, they meet Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and Jack, who are all looking to have their own wishes granted. A modern twist on classic fairy tales, "Into the Woods" cautions, "be careful what you wish for."

Evening performances run Thursday through Saturday for two weeks, starting Thursday, Nov.  2, and ending Saturday, Nov. 11, all at 7:30 p.m. Sunday matinees are at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 5 and Nov. 12.

Family Day in the Woods meet and greet events will take place following the Sunday matinee performances, Nov. 5 and Nov. 12. These events allow audience members to talk to the show characters and take pictures with them. Note: Children under the age of 5 are not admitted into K-State Theatre productions.

Tickets are $19.50 for the general public; $17.50 for seniors, military, faculty and staff; and $14 for students and youth. They can be purchased at the online K-State Theatre and Dance box office at k-state.edu/mtd/tickets, or by phone at 785-236-8638. Tickets also can be purchased one hour prior to show time at the Chapman Theatre. All tickets, regardless of purchase method, are free from convenience fees and sales tax is included.
