Office of Research and Sponsored Programs hosts National Science Foundation EAGER webinar
National Science Foundation Early-concept Grants for Exploratory Research, or EAGER, awards support exploratory work on untested but potentially transformative research ideas or approaches. This "high risk–high payoff" work involves radically different approaches, applies new expertise, or engages novel disciplinary or interdisciplinary perspectives. EAGER grants can serve as steppingstones for early career researchers or offer mid-career investigators a chance to explore long-simmering projects. Proposals are internally reviewed by NSF program officers.
The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs is hosting a webinar from the Principal Investigator's Association on this program at 3:30 p.m. May 3 in 207 K-State Union. The webinar will offer examples of successful EAGER proposals and will address:
- Developing an EAGER strategy.
- Types of projects that are a good fit.
- The EAGER review process.
- What qualifies as "high-risk."
