Entrepreneurship professor Saurav Pathak awarded Academic Excellence grant
Submitted by Brent Fritzemeier
Kansas State University assistant professor of entrepreneurship Saurav Pathak has been awarded a K-State Academic Excellence Fund Grant for fall 2016.
Pathak plans to use the funds to bring in several guest speakers throughout his graduate-level Technology Entrepreneurship course. This will allow students to listen first hand to the experiences of experts — such as product developers, patent attorneys, market research consultants, technology strategists, venture capitalists, business angels and bank loan officers — who would have themselves performed each of the steps of the technology entrepreneur process.
"The grant will impact Master of Business Administration students and any other students on campus who would take this course as an elective — especially those from the engineering, agriculture, vet school, etc.," Pathak said. "It will be particularly useful for those who are working toward developing a new technology and wish to know more about how to bring those novel technologies to market."
