Interacting with Difficult Visitors scheduled for Feb. 17

Submitted by Human Capital Services, Learning and Development

Heather Reed and Laurel Moody from the Office of Student Life will present Interacting with Difficult Visitors, WTD160, from 2:30-4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, in Room 206 of the K-State Student Union.

Office staff is often the first contact that individuals have with a department. There are times when individuals who come to the office are frustrated and/or angry and lash out. This session will provide de-escalating communication strategies, methods of dealing with a difficult or threatening person, as well as information on dealing with suspicious persons.

This session is intended for frontline office staff. If you have a large staff and would like this presentation for your particular area, please contact Reed or Koch at 785-532-6432.

Register through HRIS Self Enrollment, or email training@k-state.edu. When sending an email, please include your name, employee ID number, course title and session number.
