Faculty, don’t forget about StrengthsQuest

Submitted by Jessica Arnold

As we near fall semester's halfway point, we want to remind our faculty and staff about the free StrengthsQuest access code their first-year freshmen and transfer students have waiting for them.

K-State's StrengthsQuest initiative enables first-year freshmen and transfer students to take the StrengthsQuest assessment free of charge. This assessment, based on the concept of intentionally developing your strengths rather than your weaknesses, is being utilized campuswide in classrooms and communities as a way for students to better understand what they and others have to offer.

We highly recommend that faculty and staff encourage their students to take advantage of this unique opportunity. The free codes are only accessible to new students until May.

Your students can find their free access code by visiting: KSIS > Self-Service > Student Success > StrengthsQuest.

If your students have any difficulties accessing their code or logging onto Gallup's website, please have them send K-State StrengthsQuest an email at strengthsquest@k-state.edu.

As faculty and staff, you also have a StrengthsQuest resource at your disposal — presenters. If you would like K-State StrengthsQuest to come facilitate a strengths-based discussion with your class or department, please submit a Request a Speaker form. We will be in touch with you within 48 hours of your request.

We encourage everyone to stay informed about Strengths at K-State by following @ksu_SQ on Twitter and KSU.Strengths on Facebook. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please email strengthsquest@k-state.edu.

All the best in your Strengths journeys.
