K-State GIScience Club to meet Oct. 7

The Kansas State University GIScience Club and student chapter of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, in 164H Seaton Hall.

Following a general membership meeting, a research presentation will be made by Brent Chamberlain, assistant professor of landscape architecture in the College of Architecture, Planning & Design. Chamberlain will discuss his work in advancing viewshed analyses to support landscape planning.

The K-State GIScience Club is an interdisciplinary organization with an objective to advance knowledge and improve understanding of mapping sciences to promote the application of remote sensing, GIS, spatial analysis methods and supporting geospatial technologies.
