Interior design student wins scholarship for essay
Rachel Knox, a senior in interior design with secondary major in gerontology, received a $1,000 scholarship in the International Interior Design Association's Wilsonart Essay Competition.
In her winning essay, she shared her experience at Atlas Carpet for the association's Student Mentoring Week.
After graduation, Knox plans to become a licensed interior designer and has accepted a job with Yaeger Architecture in Overland Park.
