Bill Nye's appearance rescheduled for Dec. 3, attendees will need to exchange tickets

Submitted by Union Program Council

Union Program Council regrets to announce that Bill Nye the Science Guy will not be able to speak on Oct. 11 at McCain Auditorium because of injuries sustained on "Dancing with the Stars."

Bill Nye has rescheduled his lecture on sustainability at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, in Bramlage Coliseum.

We are excited about the response we have received for this event and look forward increasing the number of people that can experience his lecture by moving to Bramlage. However, we encourage you to secure your reserved ticket at the Athletics Ticket Office at Bramlage early, as there are limited seats in the lecture set up at Bramlage. If you already have a ticket, we will exchange it for a comparable seat in Bramlage. Your ticket on Oct. 11 will not be a valid ticket to the Dec. 3 event.

Please read the following regarding tickets:

For K-State students who picked up tickets to Bill Nye from McCain Auditorium:

There will be a ticket exchange Monday, Oct. 28, through Nov. 1 in the K-State Student Union. You will present your current Bill Nye ticket from McCain and a valid K-State student ID to exchange it for an equivalent ticket in Bramlage. If you do not exchange your ticket by 5 p.m. Nov. 1, it will be available for distribution on Nov. 4 and your McCain ticket will no longer be valid.

For K-State students who were unable to secure a ticket for the Oct. 11 lecture and students on the wait list:

For your convenience, we are offering two locations for you to pick up a ticket, beginning at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4. UPC will have 500 tickets to distribute at the K-State Student Union or you may pick up a ticket at the Bramlage Ticket Office. Once the 500 tickets are distributed at the Union, students will have to go to Bramlage if the event has not already sold out. Limit one ticket per student with a valid K-State ID. Students cannot order by phone or online.

Note: Students with a student ticket will need to present their valid K-State ID to enter Bramlage for the lecture.

For members of the general public who purchased tickets to Bill Nye from McCain Auditorium:

For customers who have purchased tickets, McCain will do a total refund but only back to a credit card or debit card, as this is the only way to keep compliant with state and university guidelines. For refunds you must bring your purchased tickets and a credit or debit card to McCain Auditorium Box Office by Nov. 4 to be refunded your ticket. After Nov. 4, you will not be able to receive a refund. The McCain Box Office is open from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. You then will have to purchase the ticket/s from the Athletics Ticket Office between Oct. 28 and Nov. 1.

The Athletics Ticket Office will have the names of those who purchased tickets from McCain, so they will be expecting you. The reserved seats will be comparable to the seats in McCain. After Nov. 1, all remaining tickets will be made available for student and public distribution and sale starting Nov. 4.

For general public and those on the wait list:
Tickets will be available for purchase beginning at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office, by calling 800-221-CATS, or by going online to kstatesports.com. The ticket office is open 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Tickets for non-K-State students are $10, and military tickets are $8. Additional fees may apply.
