Students: Apply to serve as undergraduate tutors for spring 2025

The Academic Achievement Center is hiring undergraduate peer tutors. View the application and position description. 

By working as a peer tutor for Academic Achievement Center, you can expect to:

  • Facilitate the learning process with their tutees instead of teaching content or providing answers.
  • Communicate effectively to peers and supervisors.
  • Learn transferable skills to be used in future employment.
  • Strengthen their own content knowledge by helping others learn content and material.

Qualifications for the position include:

  • Must be a Kansas State University student enrolled in at least six hours. 
  • Must maintain a semester GPA of 3.0 or higher. 
  • Must have received a "B" or better at K-State in the courses they wish to tutor and knowledgeable about course tutored. 
  • Exhibit responsibility, positive attitude, confidence, flexibility, strong energy levels and excellent communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic about building academic skills and helping others.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but the priority deadline to apply is Jan. 10, 2025.
